Latrobe Equestrian Center is named after its awesome location near the small historic railroad town of Latrobe, CA, 10 minutes South of El Dorado Hills Town Center & Highway 50! We are a short ride from the Historic El Dorado Trail which will take you all the way to Poor Red's BBQ in El Dorado and beyond. Miles of private residents-only roads to enjoy, and trails which extend to the Consumnes River and Deer Creek Hills Preserve. We are nestled in a quiet, private valley of gentle rolling hills and prairie. We enjoy a nice breeze most days, and our incredible views will allow you to see the sunset across the Delta to the coastal mountains.

This is a small, private lesson & training facility owned by Trainer Anastasia Carson, of AC Horsemanship & Western Dressage. The land was purchased completely raw in July of 2021. All of the grading and construction work has been done by Anastasia and her partner, Jacob Thomas, during the most difficult economic climate of their generation. Every project has been a huge push to complete and we are proud to now offer use of our amenities to you! We have thoroughly researched and planned with animal safety and efficient usability in mind.

All of the stalls are oversized 12'x24' for your horse's comfort. Some spaces are 12'x12' attached to 40'x40' paddocks. Hay is given in slow feed nets, to reduce waste and allow horses access to 24 hour grass hay. Alfalfa is given every morning on the ground so horses will be ready and fueled for work in the morning hours. This significantly improves gut health, and keeps the horses occupied, free of stress or boredom during the day and night.

Stalls are bedded deep in a soft bed of straw and Mallard Creek sawdust pellets, which creates a highly absorbent and very cushy comfortable bed. Most horses do not try to eat the straw but in case they do, we buy the highest quality available. Stalls are cleaned 7 days/wk and daily turnouts during cleaning are included in board costs. Extra turnout time may be arranged.

At this time, we only offer boarding to clients who are also committed to part time or full time training. Boarded training prices start at $1,400 monthly.
